Take a Trip Around the World: March Break at Ottawa Public Library

Friday, February 7, 2020

Ottawa– Spending March Break in Ottawa could mean discovering new cultures and creatures and expanding your school-aged children’s knowledge of the wide world and its many wonders. Visit Ottawa Public Library from March 16 to March 20 for a multitude of special March Break activities; the theme this year is ‘Around the World’.

Children aged 4 to 12 who are registered for OPL’s March Break programs will take a journey and discover the worlds around them, inside them, and even learn more about the world under their feet. They will have the chance to meet parrots, reptiles and bugs! They will meet accomplished local musicians, dancers and artists and enjoy a lively and diverse line-up of performances. March Break registrants will have the chance to express themselves through arts and crafts and try out creative cultural activities such as Japanese flower arranging.

Registration opens February 12 and spots will fill up quickly. March Break programs are free and held at OPL branches across the city.

Some drop-in activities are also available at most library branches during March Break week.
