  • Nepean Centrepointe branch : New Shelving

    The Children’s Area at the Nepean Centrepointe branch of Ottawa Public Library (101 Centrepointe) will be refreshed with new shelving throughout the month of October. The branch will remain open, and its collection and services will be available throughout the project. 

  • Ten (10) OPL Branches are now open on Sundays!

    Starting Sunday, September 8, ten (10) OPL branches:  Beaverbrook, Cumberland, Greenboro, Hazeldean, Main, Nepean Centrepointe, North Gloucester, Orleans, Ruth E. Dickinson, Stittsville and Infoservice are open from 10 am to 5 pm, as of every year, after the Labor Day weekend.

  • Construction and Repair at the Main branch

    Starting Monday, June 3, the Main branch of Ottawa Public Library will be undergoing significant repairs to the building’s foundation.   

    The main entrance will be limited to one door only but will remain accessible.  

    The branch, collections, and all services will remain open and available throughout the construction. 

  • Carlingwood branch: Parking Lot Rehabilitation

    The parking lot at the Carlingwood branch of Ottawa Public Library (281 Woodroffe) will be repaved with a permeable paving system starting Tuesday, July 2 until early October. The branch will remain open as usual during the repairs.     

    Parking is permitted for OPL clients at the Carlingwood Shopping Centre (2121 Carling Ave). Please be aware that there will be construction noise during this period.
