Introducing Isolation Recreation, Ottawa Public Library’s new website section that brings together enriching online content for adults, teens, and children – to inspire, encourage, and entertain you in this period of physical distancing. With ten streams that offer content for leisure and learning at your fingertips, Isolation Recreationwill help Ottawa residents answer the question: What can I do today? For each stream, like Read a book, Take a virtual tripor Learn something new, OPL librarians have curated a selection of outstanding creative activities, wellness tips, literary and cultural gems, learning tools, and much more to help you make the most of this time out. And OPL’s online offerings are being added to everyday so check in often.

All of the eContent highlighted in Isolation Recreationis FREE and can be accessed with a Library card. Residents of Ottawa can get a temporary library card that provides them with access to all of OPL’s online resources by contacting Infoservice at 613-580-2940.

Its 33 branches may be closed, but OPL is still there for you and our entire city to keep you and your family busy, informed, entertained, and connected during this challenging time.
