Celebrate Pride 2023 with Ottawa Public Library

Monday, June 12, 2023

OTTAWA- Love, diversity, and equality take center stage at Ottawa Public Library this June as we proudly present a series of vibrant programs that will captivate hearts and minds. Pride celebrations provide opportunities for our community to come together, share experiences, and build connections.

Read on to discover the incredible events that OPL has in store for you!

Join us Thursdays in June as we celebrate the art of film, elevate LGBTQ+ voices, and embrace the power of representation.  In partnership with the National Film Board, we bring you a diverse selection of 2SLGBTQIA+ films that explore journeys of pain, triumph, and the exploration of identity.

Prepare to be captivated as Bige invites us to embrace the multiplicity of our identities, challenge the status quo, and reimagine a world where the intersection of queer and indigenous experiences takes center stage.

Discover the fascinating world of biodiversity and unravel the mysteries of the animal kingdom in this engaging workshop by the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity.

Indulge in a fabulous experience filled with dance, music, and the magic of stories. Our special guest storytellers will transport children into a world of imagination while promoting acceptance, self-expression, and inclusivity.

Join us at Sunnyside branch with Lola Ryan for an athletic workshop to unleash your inner rhythm.

For those unable to attend an event, OPL’s collection offers many titles and resources in the spirit of Pride.
