March Break 2024: Free Programs for All Ages

March Break is just around the corner! Join us from March 11-16 for daily online programs and even more special events in branches.  

Our programming is bursting with creativity and adventure; we will be offering programs for a variety of interests and age groups.

  • Luc Leduc, the Duke of Magic will be performing at Constance Bay, Elmvale Acres, Emerald Plaza, Main and Rosemount branches 

  • Scientist in Schools will be testing hypotheses at Blackburn Hamlet, Centennial, Cumberland, Hazeldean and St Laurent branches 

  • Meet furry and feathered friends at Beaverbrook, Carp, Fitzroy Harbour, Nepean Centrepointe, Rideau, Vernon and more. 

  • Get crafting with the Ottawa Art Gallery, Ottawa Art Therapy and WPBS-TV across the various branches for kids and teens 

  • Grab a ukulele and learn the basics in our Introduction to Ukuleles program offered at 5 branches this week 

Are you a teen looking for something to do this week? We have daily online workshops and special in-branch events on a variety of topics. 

  • Get a financial boost with workshops by the Credit Counselling Society who offer some practical advice on financing, budgeting, and managing student loans. 

  • Interested in film and television? Get an insider’s perspective on the industry with a workshop by REEL Canada. 

  • Bombarded by ads about AI assistants? Media Smarts has you covered in a workshop about algorithmic literacy. 

  • Roll some dice in Dungeons and Dragons one-shot adventures
