It’s that time of year when the air is crisp, the snow might be falling (or not, we never know in Ottawa!), and Ottawa Public Library (OPL) is decking the halls with its holiday schedule. So, grab a cup of hot cocoa, your coziest blanket, and let’s dive into the details!
The Holiday Pause: Dec. 25, Dec. 26, and Jan. 1
First up, a quick heads-up for the big days! OPL will be closed on Monday, December 25, Tuesday, December 26, and Monday, January 1.
Regular Rendezvous: Dec. 27 to Dec. 30
Fear not, fellow readers! From Wednesday, December through Saturday, December 30, all branches and services will operate on their regular schedules. So, whether you’re looking to dive into a new novel, research for that project, or just enjoy a quiet moment with a magazine, we’ve got you covered.
Early Bird Special: Dec. 24 and Dec. 31
On Sunday, December 24, and Sunday, December 31, all branches that are normally open from 10 am. to 5 pm. on Sundays will be operating on special hours. They’ll open their doors at 10 am but will close a bit earlier, at 3 pm. Perfect timing for you to grab a last-minute read before the festivities begin!
