La Bibliothèque publique d’Ottawa est heureuse d’annoncer de nouvelles séances inspirantes dans le cadre de son Tech Café. Nous nous associons à nouveau avec l’Ottawa PC Users’ Group et BYMUG (the Bytown MAC Users Group) pour vous offrir des présentations sur un vaste éventail de sujets comme l’optimisation de Windows, la création de blogues, l’achat d’un appareil photo numérique, la sécurisation de votre réseau domestique et de vos mots de passe, ainsi que l’utilisation de vos appareils Apple. Consultez la page Web suivante pour voir une liste complète de toutes nos présentations Tech Café.

Avez-vous besoin d’une aide plus personnalisée? Essayez les tutoriels par téléphone et par courriel de la Bibliothèque. Vous pouvez vous y inscrire sur la page Biblio tête-à-tête de la Bibliothèque. Aussi, si vous avez besoin d’instructions plus détaillées, consultez nos plateformes en ligne Lynda.com ou  Toutapprendre pour visionner des vidéos de formation sur une foule de sujets technologiques. N’oubliez pas d’ouvrir une session avec votre compte de bibliothèque avant de cliquer sur l’un des trois liens ci-dessus.

Et bien sûr, la Bibliothèque dispose de livres papier et numériques portant sur toutes sortes de sujets informatiques et technologiques. Consultez les listes dans BiblioCommons (Windows 10, MAC computers/Les ordinateurs MAC et Apple Devices/Les appareils Apple) ou créez la vôtre.

Is it possible to see the Tech Cafe sessions at other times other than Monday mornings? i.e. are they stored somewhere where one could access them. Thanks

Thank you for your question regarding the scheduling of the Tech Cafés. As you will see from the lineup for the fall, we do have a few that are on Monday afternoons. The fall 2020 online Tech Cafe sessions are not being recorded. We do send the slides of each presentation to all registrants following each session and so we encourage you to register in order to receive the slides. We hope you are available for the Monday afternoon sessions live.

Hello, I did register for this session, and missed the presentation as I had to return an item due at the library at Carling wood. Where can I see the slides of the presentation, which was not sent to all registrants as explained above. Thank you for your assistance. trinhjoos@yahoo.com

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry and we apologize for the confusion. As the ByMUG User Group presentations this fall, on iPhones and iPads, do not use slides (they use a live demo technique on the screen), we have decided to record the sessions by these presenters and will be putting them on the Ottawa Public Library YouTube page once they are captioned for accessibility. We appreciate your patience.
