Guide d’antiracisme de la BPO

Les enjeux liés à l’antiracisme sont si considérables que le chemin qu’il reste à parcourir pour changer les choses peut paraître insurmontable. Le personnel de la BPO a donc préparé des listes de lecture pour vous aider à commencer ou à poursuivre le travail vers une société antiraciste.

À la BPO, nous apprenons, nous écoutons, nous lisons, nous regardons… bref, nous faisons nous aussi tout le nécessaire pour poursuivre la lutte dans notre propre sphère d’influence.
 

En lisant des livres comme How to Be Less Stupid About Racede Crystal Marie Fleminget Trick Mirror: Reflections on Self-Delusionde Jia Tolentino, nous nous retrouvons face à des vérités qui nous rendent mal à l’aise et qui nous remettent en question de diverses manières, ce qui nous pousse à changer et à transformer notre travail et notre quotidien.

Certaines lectures nous font également rire, comme You’ll Never Believe WhatHappened to Lacey de Amber Ruffin. Nous découvrons ainsi de formidables auteures et auteurs, et nous nous aventurons vers de nouveaux sujets que nous n’aurions jamais explorés sans les derniers appels à la justice de Leanne Betasamosake Simpson dans This Accident of Being Lost, de Ocean Vuong dans Un bref instant de splendeuret de Desmond Cole dans The Skin We’re In.
