OTTAWA – As many customers know, the Alta Vista branch entranceway has undergone several repairs in the past two years. As work began, the scope of the issue was larger than expected and will require more time to complete. In January 2022, OPL provided advance notice of this work.
We are providing customers with a reminder notice that the Alta Vista branch of Ottawa Public Library (2516 Alta Vista Drive) will be offering curbside services for approximately ten days from Monday, July 4 to Wednesday, July 13 while repairs to the main entrance are being completed.
Regular service will resume Thursday, July 14 at 10 am.
Undertaking the work in the summer allows OPL to continue to offer services to the community without a full closure.
During construction, customers will not be able to enter the branch to browse the shelves or attend programs but holds pickup and return service will be available at the rear door of the Alta Vista branch. The external book drop will remain open.
